To sage your home, you can follow these instructions:

Obtain a bundle of dried sage, also known as a smudge stick, which can be found at many spiritual or metaphysical stores. You will also need a heatproof container like an abalone shell or ceramic bowl to catch any ashes.

Open windows and doors to allow the smoke to exit your home. This step is optional but can help in releasing any negative energy.

Before you begin, take a moment to set your intention for the smudging ritual. You may want to focus on clearing negative energy, inviting positive energy, or creating a sense of peace and harmony.

Hold the smudge stick by the end away from the burning tip. Use a lighter or a candle flame to ignite the tip until it catches fire. Allow it to burn for a few seconds, then gently blow out the flame, leaving the smudge stick smoldering and producing smoke.

Begin at the front door or entrance of your home and move clockwise around each room. Use a feather or your hand to waft the smoke into the air, paying attention to corners, closets, and areas where energy may feel stagnant. You can also say a prayer or affirmation as you move through each space.

If there are areas in your home that feel particularly heavy or energetically dense, spend extra time smudging those areas, allowing the smoke to permeate and cleanse the space.

Once you have finished smudging your home, carefully extinguish the smudge stick by pressing it into the heatproof container or gently rubbing it against the surface until it stops producing smoke. Ensure it is completely extinguished before leaving it unattended.

Remember to exercise caution while working with fire and smoke. If you have any respiratory conditions or sensitivities, it's advisable to take necessary precautions or consider alternative methods of cleansing your space.
